EDWARDIAN SUFFRAGETTE STYLE RING AMETHYST PERIDOT DIAMOND
An imposing Suffragette tribute ring adorned with magnificent 3ct oval cut peridots, a 4ct amethyst and four twinkling brilliant cut diamonds nestled in between.
Jewellery displaying the colours green, violet and white was often worn in support of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) which was at the forefront of the UK suffrage movement in the early 1900s. They adopted these three colours to highlight their key virtues: Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, and also formed the phrase “Give Women Votes!”
The gallery is all 9ct gold with secure claw mounts for each stone. It’s a remarkable statement piece and the contrasting stones look glorious spread over the finger.
