ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN 18CT GOLD SUFFRAGETTE RING DATED BIRMINGHAM 1915
A fabulous antique Edwardian Suffragette ring which is fully hallmarked Birmingham 1915.
The lovely ring is set with 0.50ct violet Amethyst with four sparkling Diamonds and two rich green Peridots at either side.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The gallery is all 18ct Yellow Gold and complete with hallmarks.
This is a wonderful piece of Suffragette history and looks beautiful upon the finger.
