ASK A QUESTION PURCHASE

This fabulous 9ct Gold Suffragette pendant is dates back to the Victorian era, Circa 1900.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

The pendant is adorned with a beautiful 0.3ct Amethyst, which is surrounded by Pearls and rich green Peridots, leading to a Gold ball dropper.

Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate and soothe the mind and emotions.

The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.

All set in 9ct Yellow Gold gallery and complete with a 9ct hallmark on the reverse.

Purchased in London and steeped in English history.

Looks magnificent when worn, a truly stunning piece of history.

Weighs 1.8 grams.

Pendant measures 30mm across x 40mm down, including bale.

Excellent all round condition.
