ASK A QUESTION PURCHASE

This fabulous antique Victorian Sterling Silver Pendant and chain is a genuine Suffragette piece Circa 1900.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

The beautiful pendant is adorned with Pink and green Paste stones set in a lovely Victorian gallery with 5 Paste droppers.

Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Coloured Pastes sparkle just like gemstones, captivating the allure of natures beauty.

The pendant boasts a large central pink Paste stone which is surrounded by a halo of lovely Pearls.

Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.

All set in Sterling Silver and complete with Silver chain.

Purchased in London and steeped in English history.

Looks stunning when worn, a truly magnificent piece of history.

Weighs 14.8 grams.

Pendant measures 38mm across x 65mm down.

Chain measures 17 inches in length.
