ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SUFFRAGETTE GOLD PENDANT
This fabulous 9ct Yellow Gold Suffragette pendant is genuine Victorian, Circa 1900.
The beautiful floral pendant is adorned with Pearls an Amethyst dropper and a central green Peridot displaying the prime Suffragette colours.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!
Green is for give, white is for women and violet is for votes.
The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.
