ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN SUFFRAGETTE RING 18CT GOLD AMETHYST DIAMOND PERIDOT DATED 1903
A stunning Antique Edwardian Suffragette ring modelled in 18ct Yellow Gold and set with a gorgeous deep violet Amethyst in the centre flanked by four white Diamonds and two rich green Peridots.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised: Purple for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The ring is complete with Birmingham hallmarks within the shank which date the piece to 1903. It’s in excellent condition and a fabulous piece of history.
