ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN SUFFRAGETTE RING AMETHYST 18CT GOLD CIRCA 1910
This gorgeous Antique Edwardian Suffragette ring has been modelled in 18ct Yellow Gold. The ornate gallery features three Amethysts and two Peridots which graduate in size and weight a total of approx. 1ct each. The gallery also features eight sparkling Diamonds.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
A gorgeous ring and a lovely piece of history with great sentiment attached.
